Ground Zero
Ground Zero documents the Juke Joint Blues Festival in Clarksdale Mississippi in April 2011 through a series of portraits. Clarksdale is in the Mississippi Delta and is widely regarded as the home of the ‘Blues’. I taped a white sheet to a wall just outside the Ground Zero Blues Club, owned by Hollywood actor Morgan Freeman,  and invited people walking by to step forward to have their portrait made.
